What exactly is “Permanent Cosmetics”?
Permanent cosmetics makeup is a state-of-the-art form of cosmetic tattooing.
The specialized techniques used for permanent cosmetics are often referred to as "micro pigmentation", "micro pigment implantation" or "derma graph".The cosmetic implantation technique deposits tiny individual implants of pigment into the dermal layer of the skin.
What are the Available Colors?
All procedures have an unlimited selection of colors available in order to achieve the best possible cosmetic appearance. Colors will be chosen based on hair color, skin tone, natural lip color, and general preferences. Any color can be custom mixed and created just for you.
Is the procedure painful?
The sensation felt during the procedure can be compared to tweezing. A topical anesthetic is used for eye and brow applications. A dental block is recommended for lip color procedures. However, with a dermagraph machine, permanent make-up is virtually painless.
Is it safe?
The same strict sanitation and sterilization guidelines followed by doctors and hospitals are used, and are in accordance with the CDC (Center for Disease Control). This includes single-use sterile needles. The pigments used are very safe. There are known cases of allergic reactions to the pigment used, however, such occurrences are extremely rare.
Are permanent cosmetics REALLY permanent?
Yes. They are considered permanent because the color is implanted into the dermal layer of the skin and cannot be washed off using a conventional manner, such as with soap and water. However, as with any tattoo, fading can and often does occur, requiring periodic maintenance. Colors will stay bright and vibrant longer with daily use of a good sunscreen, following healing.
How long does each procedure take?
The initial procedure will generally take approximately 1.5 to 2.5 hours. Follow-up procedures usually do not need as much time as the initial procedure.
